Students gearing for the forthcoming FDDI entrance exam

Footwear design and development institute is becoming more and more popular with the youth as it offers a variety of courses in footwear and leather goods. With more and more demand for footwear and leather goods, India is booming with job opportunities. Not only India but, there is a lot of demand from rest of the world as well. Unfortunately because of lack of resources, India is not able to full fill the demand from the consumers, therefore ready business is being taken by China which is currently world’s number 1 in manufacturing of leather goods and footwear manufacturing.

The ministry of Commerce is putting in additional investments and efforts in order to foster the industry. One of the major steps is to implement skills so that the quality of the goods manufactured improves along with a fall in the cost of manufacturing.

FDDI main aim is to implement maximum knowledge in the field of footwear development and design among students both through theoretical knowledge as well as practical exposure. FDDI offers both undergraduate as well as post graduate courses to students which helps the students get confident and well prepared for the industry. The undergraduate courses are of 3 year duration and can be pursued after 10+2 and the post graduate courses are for 2 years which can be pursued after the a bachelor degree.

There is an entrance exam for both the undergraduate courses as well as post graduate courses which will be held on 7th June-9th June 2017.It’s an objective type exam which tests the students in various areas. For every correct answer the student is awarded 1 mark and there is no negative marking for any incorrect answer. Therefore it is wise to attempt all questions, the only problem is that since it’s a time based exam therefore practise and time management plays a vital part.
